Smartlet Networked Charging Stations communicate to the ChargePoint NOS via a communications network. Up to 100 charging stations can be part of a single wireless 802.15.4 local area network mesh group. This communication mesh dynamically adapts to changing conditions in a real world environment to ensure that all stations remain in contact with the ChargePoint NOS.
Each local group of Smartlet Networked Charging Stations connects to the ChargePoint NOS through a gateway – a version of charging station with a CDMA or GPRS radio modem. Using the cellular network, the gateway communicates with a remote server hosted and managed by Coulomb Technologies.
The CT1000 and CT2000 Smartlet Networked Charging Stations work in conjunction with the ChargePoint NOS to form a smart charging infrastructure for the plug-in electric vehicles. The combination enables charging revenue subscriptions and grid load energy policy administration services. Additionally, the networking capabilities can produce a revenue stream for municipalities, corporations and parking lot owners while providing convenient charging locations for electric vehicle owners.
The Coulomb Technologies Smartlet Networked Charging Station family consists of a series of rugged, aesthetically pleasing, smart plug-in vehicle charging stations designed specifically for the ChargePoint Network. The product family includes:
- pole-mount
- wall-mount
- bollard stations
All of these models are available in 120v 15A or dual-mode 120v/240v 15A-80A versions.
